President's Corner

Hope everyone is staying warm in these sub-zero temperatures, this is getting to be a long and hard winter, and I am getting tired of it.Several of our member have had or are now having physical challenges, and some, like me, are having  the usual colds that run from Dec to May. But this too shall pass ,and eventually we'll get some better weather.

We had a good visit from our Region Chairman,Lion Leon Martin and from PDGs Jane & Tom Martin. The major item of discussion was increasing membership and retention of present members. Several good ideas were discussed, and we've inquired with the Middle School as to whether they would consider conducting another volunteer Fair at which we could talk to students about the Lions and possibly get students and their parents involved in a range of club projects.

By the time you get this newsletter the Pancake Breakfast may be over. I fully expect this to be another great fund-raiser,and we owe a lot of thanks to those  who organized and raised donations for the project, especially Sandy Griffin, Don Wheeler, and Keith Himmelman. as well as all who sold tickets and worked that day
