LION OF THE YEAR

Congratulations to Lion Don Wethington who was recently honored with the “Lion of the year” award.

LIONS CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Lions Christmas party for members and guests will be held at the Cellar Restaurant with happy hour at 6:00Pm  and dinner at 6:30PM. We will order from the menu. A gift exchange will be held. Gifts should range from $5 to $10 . Call Sandy Griffin, Pat Koehler or Pat Yackley for reservations. We hope to see you all there.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

There were 40 pints of blood donated at the Nov. blood drive and the next drive is scheduled for Jan. 3.

SIGHT FIRST II

Lion Al Henning ,District 1-H coordinator for Sight First II, gave a program on Sight First 1 & 2. Twenty four million persons were treated during sight first 1 and it is intended to restore sight to one hundred million with Sight First 2. These figures are very impressive and Lions every where will need to work hard to make it happen.

HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR !

PRESIDENTS CORNER

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Our Lions Club Thanksgiving meeting was great. The Church ladies spoiled us, as usual. I particularly enjoyed the DVD presentation given by Lion Al Henning. It reminds us of the amazing thing Lion’s Clubs all over the world are accomplishing and why we are proud to be part of it as members. Remember December 10th for our Christmas party at the Cellar. I am sure we will enjoy seeing everyone together for dinner and the gift exchange game.
