MEMBERSHIP NIGHT

The Oct. 15 meeting has been designated as membership night. As you are all aware our membership has been declining for the last several years. We have now reached a critical point wherein our ability to provide community services is in jeopardy. This is your opportunity to bring potential members to a meeting to show what the Geneseo Lions do for the community. Don’t forget personal recruiting has been proven to be the best method of getting new members. 

CANDY DAYS

19 and 20 Oct. are the two days that we will have this year to replenish our hearing and vision fund. This will be the only time this year that we will solicit funds from the general public. Make it count! Participate!!! Call Lion Lynn at 944 3245 to schedule a time.

Your Editor Lion Pat Yackley had the misfortune to trip and fall, thus breaking her hip. Pat is recovering nicely at home but I’m sure would appreciate hearing form all of you. Her address is 915 S. Center St. , Geneseo, Il 61254.

CONDOLENCES

Our condolences to the family of Jim Quillin who passed away Sept. 18. Jim was a long time Lion who will be missed.

PRESIDENTS CORNER

Unfortunately President Teresa is unable to provide her message this month, she picked up a serious infection while vacationing in Florida and is currently recovering at home. I’m sure a card or call will make her feel better.
