RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

Blood drive will be held from 12 noon to 6 PM. Pre drive activity starts at 10AM and post drive activity ends at about 7:30 PM. Call Les Griffin to give blood and/or help. 

LUNCH WAGON

Two auctions were catered during August with a new (to us) auctioneer. Our gross sales for the 2 auctions were over $1300.

REGION MEETING 

FYI District 1-H has been divided into 2 Regions and each region has 2 Zone. We are in Region 1 Zone B. There will be no zone meetings as has been the custom. The Region 1 Zone B meeting will be held at the Homestead Restaurant, Woodhull at 6:30 PM. The cost will be $10 including tax and tip. Reservations must be made by Sept. 9 and can be sent to Chuck Meyer by E-mail. Please contact Teresa or Les if you plan to attend. We hope to have a good representation from our club.

PRESIDENT’S CORNER 

Summer is almost over,can you believe it? I hope everyone read "The Lion". It was filled with heartwarming stories of Lion's Club members who have died serving our country in the armed forces.
We are looking for a club member to volunteer to take care of our scrapbook.;perhaps you would like to contribute to the club in this way.
We have lost a devoted member of our Lion's Family and a good friend, Larry Lamb,and want Betty and his family to know that our hearts go out to them. He will not be forgotten.
