REGION 1 MEETING

President Keith and Lion Pete represented our club our club at the region meeting held in Coal Valley on Sept. 7.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

Drive was held on the 7^th of Sept. at First United Methodist Church annex. Forty one donors donated a total of 40 pints of blood. Thanks to all who participated.

DUES

Lion Pete reported on a new procedure for collecting dues. Bills will be sent to remind members when they are overdue.

LIONS OF ILLINOIS STATE FORUM

The forum will be held at the Holiday Inn in Naperville on Nov. 18 from 10AM  to 3PM. This is a good time to meet Lions from other districts and learn more about Lionism. Reservations should be made by Oct. 18 to receive the $20. registration rate. Please see President Keith or Pat Yackley if able to attend.

DEATH IN THE FAMILY

The Geneseo Lions Club extends deep sympathy to Lion Don Wheeler and his family for the loss of Zelma this past month.

PRESIDENTS CORNER

Candy Day is Oct.13 &14. We will also be collecting Friday night before the football game. Call Lynn Misfeldt at 944-3245 to volunteer at your favorite location. The committee list has been made and can be obtained at our next meeting on Oct 2. Please be very active on the committee you are asked to serve on. We are looking forward to a busy year of serving by every member..Remember " Serving is the rent we pay for the space we occupy".
